Two world premieres are coming up at the opera house. For the double bill NOVITZKY/DAWSON, choreographers Roman Novitzky and David Dawson will create new works, the latter working with the dancers of the Stuttgart Ballet for the very first time. The multi-award-winning Brit, who is one of the most sought-after choreographers in the field of ballet and has already worked with many renowned companies worldwide, has finally been able to accept an invitation from artistic director Tamas Detrich to create a new work for the Stuttgart Ballet. Roman Novitzky is Artist in Residence at the Stuttgart Ballet. The former Principal Dancer does not only act as photographer, but also as choreographer. For the first time, he will present a piece on the stage of the opera house.
During the ballet talk on the rehearsal stage in the John Cranko School, the choreographers will explain their ideas, working methods and intentions in conversation with host Vivien Arnold. You can get to know the creators of the steps and find out about the upcoming world premieres.
